Winter Weather has Arrived!

Well, we didn’t have a white Christmas, but we’ve definitely been getting a taste of snow now that we’ve rolled into 2013. We got sent home early one day last week from base due to weather, but our most recent snowfall was over the weekend. I absolutely love our backyard, and I think it’s especially pretty when it’s all snow-covered.
Andrew is really hoping that his onions and leeks aren’t done for with all this snow… he went and tried to give them some plastic tunnels over the weekend. We’ll see if it helps at all!

We were pretty lazy this weekend, and I’m sure the snow and cold didn’t help! The dinner I made last night seemed like the perfect “cold weather comfort food.” I made Bacon Mac & Cheese, and it was really yummy! It was nice to just have a bowl of cheesy pasta to eat while we watched “CSI” and “Star Trek.” We switch off shows to watch to be fair. 🙂 I know you all don’t think I watch “Star Trek!”

Not sure how much more snow we’ll be getting this winter, but I’m still hopeful for a snow day!
