Updates on Life!

Wow, very long time since I have posted anything! It has been a busy fall for me, and I’m sorry I fell off the grid for awhile there. Time for some updates on our life…

1. I got a job!
I applied for a job at the end of July, got called in for an interview in August, and started the paperwork process at the end of August and beginning of September. I am working at one of the Child Development Centers on base, and I’m currently working with the Pre-Toddler age group (1 year old kids). I’m working close to full-time (between 30-40 hours a week), so it has really cut down on my free time! And that’s the main reason my blog has been quite neglected over the past few months.

2. I had a trip back to the States!
My friend, Laura, asked me to be her maid-of-honor for her wedding the day before we moved to England last year. I immediately said yes, before really thinking about the cost of following through with that! Thankfully, I was able to get back to Wisconsin for her wedding, and I got to see quite a bit of my family as well! I only flew back for 11 days in October, but it was a great trip. Still have to get those photos off of my camera…

3. Still busy with NKCrochet
While I did see a little decline in orders over the warmer months, I filled up my Christmas Orders list before the end of September! I kept my list short, since I wasn’t sure how much free time I would have with the new job, but I’m still only a little over halfway through my orders. I’ve been crocheting on my lunch breaks (got a few other orders at work just because of that!), and after dinner I get a fair amount done as well. Needless to say, my chore chart has been a bit neglected lately…

I hope to get some posts up soon about some of the day trips we took in August, new recipes I’ve tried, and my trip home last month. Hopefully the upcoming long weekend we have (for Veteran’s Day) will give me some extra time for all of that!
